- built 1896. By 1933 the local brigade was absorbed into the Loughton brigade and the station was reused as by a local water company and renamed the reservoir store. All buildings including the reservoir are to be demolished prior to the sites redevelopment for housing
In 1896 the site of the Fire Station was at Stag Lane Reservoir, Stag Lane, Buckhurst Hill. This was however demolished and replaced by the Fire Station which was situated on the High Road which was demolished in 1933 with the opening of Loughton and Grange Farm, Chigwell |
